Worthington Community Theatre

The History

Founded in 1970, the Worthington Community Theatre was formed by a group of Worthington families who felt it would be fun to have a community theatre in their community. At over 40 years of age, WCT is one of the oldest community theatres in central Ohio. Our members come from all walks of life and now live all over central Ohio.

Over the years our shows have consistently been recognized with honors by both the Ohio Community Theatre Association and the American Association of Community theatres. We are proud to be members of OCTA, AACT, the Worthington Arts Council, the Worthington Chamber of Commerce and the Theatre Roundtable.

Worthington Community Theatre is currently producing three family-oriented shows annually, a winter play, spring production, and a musical every summer. In the future, we hope to continue to add more shows to our season and are focusing on a variety of efforts that will continue to make WCT an integral part of the Worthington community.

Where We Perform

Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center

Worthington Community Theatre is not directly affiliated with the McConnell Arts Center, but it is called home for our productions. This beautiful facility not only doubles as the stage for many differnet performances for various other organizations, but it also features lots of local art from the surrounding area.

All performances are at the McConnell Arts Center in the heart of Worthington. Visit us and see some fabulous art at 777 Evening St, Worthington OH 43085.
