Worthington Community Theatre would like you to consider yourself at home with Lionel Bart’s classic musical Oliver!, based on the Charles Dickens novel, Oliver Twist. The Tony and Olivier Award-winning show is one of the few musicals to win an Academy Award for Best Picture.
Join Worthington Community Theatre on the streets of Victorian England as it comes to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Olivers chances of discovering the true love of a family.
All perfomances are held at the McConnell Center in Worthington, Ohio.

The Herdmans are the worst kids in the history of the world–so when they crash Sunday school and demand parts in the Christmas pageant, the whole town panics. There’s not supposed to be biting or cigar-smoking in Bethlehem, and while these kids have never even heard the Christmas story, they definitely have rewrites! Soon everyone is calling for reluctant director Grace Bradley to cancel the whole thing. It’s up to the Bradleys and the Reverend to help their community see the Christmas story and the Herdman kids through new eyes in this buoyant musical adaptation of the funny and touching holiday classic.

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, WCT has announced that they will not be performing a summer show. The board and volunteers are looking ahead to the Fall in hopes that the crisis will be resolved enough to allow a show.
"It is with utmost difficulty that we have elected to cancel our summer production, Sound of Music. We did not come to this decision lightly, but feel that for the health and safety of cast, crew, and the community this is the best course of action.
Although our 50th anniversary season has been cut short, the show must go on. It saddens us to have reached this decision as this year marks an incredible milestone in WCT history. We would like to thank our loyal patrons and the theatre community for your support throughout these 50-years. It is with your continued support that we can make our 2020 - 2021 season our best season yet.
We are committed to finding new and exciting ways to bring the theatre arts to the community throughout these uncertain times. As soon as we are able, we will post updates in regards to upcoming events.
Thank you for your continued support,
-Worthington Community Theatre"
